Responsibilities of the Conference & Banqueting Manager

  • Oversee all weddings, banquets, and events from setup to completion
  • Manage service teams during functions and ensure high standards on the floor
  • Act as the main point of contact for wedding couples and event clients
  • Work closely with the kitchen, bar, front office, and sales teams to deliver seamless events
  • Deliver pre‑service briefings and maintain strong communication across departments
  • Support training in service standards, food and beverage knowledge, and guest care

Requirements of the Conference & Banqueting Manager

  • Confident in leading teams during high‑volume services
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of food and beverage service standards

Identify site specific hazards and ensure they are addressed in the site documentation and in a practical manner on the site.

Assist site management to comply with statutory H&S requirements.

Assist Site management to ensure Contractor Compliance on Sites.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in in managing safety systems in construction is required, including a qualification in Occupational Health and Safety

Member of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) preferred

Able to manage Health and Safety on-site using their own initiative within the scope of the management system

Strong relationship builder and ability to leverage key relationships across the full spectrum of project stakeholders and statutory bodies
