Responsibilities of this Retail Analyst job:
- Preparation of weekly/monthly reports covering sales, gross margin, and stock, including data uploads, to highlight key trends.
- Develop new approaches to reporting and systems.
- Perform detailed deep dive analysis as required to highlight performance trends.
- Communicate appropriate insights to Senior Management to enable effective decision making.
- Develop and present workshops to highlight improved operational practices within the analytics platform.
- Ensure compliance with the defined standards and best practices to ensure optimal performance of the use of the analytics platform.
- Develop and test new functionality and reports to enhance the quality of insight within the global analytics.
- Manage recovery of any incidents of data corruption including development of system to prevent repeat of the corruption events.
- Maintain full documentation for BI solutions and related services together with associated communications documents.
Experience required for this Retail Analyst job:
- Previous experience within an analytics role advantageous.
- 3rd level qualification in Data Analytics, Statistics, Data Visualisation, or similar desirable.
- Proficiency in Excel and effective presentation skills, including MS PowerPoint.
- Experience working in retail is essential.
- Analytical mind-set with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage diverse work-streams, prioritise effectively and work to shifting deadlines.
