Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualised intervention plans focusing on functional independence, mobility, seating, housing, and assistive technology
  • Provide specialist OT input across ADLs, fatigue management, upper limb function, and environmental adaptations
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, nursing, and medical staff
  • Offer clinical supervision and mentorship to junior Occupational Therapists and therapy assistants
  • Contribute to service planning, quality improvement, and best practice within Adult Disability Services

Essential Requirements

  • CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 1 year in Adult Disability, Physical Disability, or Neurology
  • Strong experience working with physical and sensory disabilities
  • Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and report-writing skills
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff (desirable for Senior grade)
  • Full clean driver’s licence and access to a car (essential for community work)
