  • Knowledge of RIS/PACS systems
  • Experience participating in on-call services desirable

Overview of the Role

The Clinical Nurse Specialist – Medical Oncology will provide expert, autonomous nursing care to patients diagnosed with cancer, supporting them throughout diagnosis, active treatment, and survivorship.

Key Responsibilities

The CNS will provide both direct and indirect specialist nursing care, including:

  • Deliver a specialist nursing service to patients with a new or existing cancer diagnosis
  • Undertake comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychological, social, spiritual)
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised plans of care in collaboration with the MDT
  • Monitor patient response to SACT and manage treatment-related toxicities
