Our client is a leading electrical engineering contractor delivering complex projects across a variety of sectors, including commercial, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, and residential developments. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of electrical installation projects from initial mobilisation through to final handover.

The Role

The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of electrical projects, ensuring delivery in line with programme, budget, quality, and safety objectives. The successful candidate will liaise closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of assigned electrical projects from mobilisation through to final handover.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with programme schedules, budgets, client specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory obligations, contractual requirements, and company management systems.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, opportunities, and financial performance.
  • Lead regular project and site meetings, ensuring issues are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Oversee all stages of the electrical project lifecycle, including:
    • Design
    • Pre-Construction
    • Construction
    • Inspection & Testing
    • Commissioning
    • Final Handover
  • Manage large-scale electrical installation packages involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Plan and allocate labour, materials, plant, and specialist subcontractor resources.
  • Lead, mentor, and support project teams to achieve key project milestones and deadlines.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety and Quality standards.
  • Drive project performance, profitability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven project management experience within electrical engineering, construction, or a similar technical environment.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ISO standards and construction health & safety requirements.
  • Experience managing commissioning activities and large-scale electrical installation projects.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and project deadlines.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

The Quantity Surveyor you will work collaboratively with the contracts manager and management team to deliver high quality projects from inception to handover.

Responsibilities:
o Prepare Tender Submissions including Take Offs/ Compile BOQ from drawings, identify issues within the tender documents and Assess Drawings, BOQs & Work Requirements at Tender Stage.
o Prepare subcontract and suppliers procurement documents.
o Support the Project Delivery Team by negotiating and agreeing on works with subcontractors.
o Prepare monthly valuations, cost reports, cash flows, variations and submit final accounts in a timely manner.
o Advising on contractual matters – general and project level

Requirements:
o Hold Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
o A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor working on residential, commercial, and industrial projects in Ireland and/or the UK

Reporting to the building services manager, you will assist in the management of the mechanical and electrical services design and installation of residential projects.

Responsibilities:
” Continuous management and monitoring of the installation quality for M&E systems on residential projects, from initial coordination to final commissioning and handover

” Support the site construction management teams in leading the coordination of M&E systems and assist with onsite problem solving, when issues arise

Coordinate with project design teams as required for M&E system interfaces with architectural and structural elements

Oversight of M&E sub-contractors onsite, ensuring programme and quality expectations are achieved

Liaise with Public Utility providers, local authorities, and design teams to ensure timely delivery of electricity, public lighting, gas, water and telecommunications services to new developments, acting as a point of contact for the respective sites

Anticipate the requirement for modification of existing site services and expedite mains service diversions in conjunction with the Utility Providers

Supplement the company’s innovation and value engineering processes in consideration and implementation of best-in-class mechanical / electrical systems and products

Management of the Temporary Electric / water systems

Requirements:
” Further education in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services

· 4+ years post qualification experience in a similar project management role

· Interest in energy management and emerging trends in residential building services, design, and construction

· Relevant trade background an advantage but not essential

· Team player, organised, self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative

Requirements:
o A third level degree in Engineering or Construction Management
o A minimum of 3 year’s experience as a Civil Engineer
o Confident and experienced in Setting Out
o Confident using Microsoft Office packages and AutoCAD
o Good knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations
o Ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets
