Catering Assistant – Cork
We are currently recruiting capable and dependable Catering Assistants to support catering operations across Cork city and county on a temporary basis. This role is best suited to candidates with strong mid-week, full-day availability who can commit to Monday to Friday shifts as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate tills and process customer payments accurately
- Provide friendly, efficient service to customers
- Prepare, set up, and maintain service and dining areas
- Ensure all equipment and workspaces are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic
- Adhere to all food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures
- Take ownership of assigned duties to ensure service runs smoothly
Requirements
- Previous experience in a catering or food-service environment
- Must be available for full-day shifts during the week, not just evenings or weekends
- Confidence using tills and dealing with customers
- Barista or coffee-making experience an advantage
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
- HACCP and Manual Handling certification required (training can be facilitated)
- Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented
