Catering Assistant – Cork

We are currently recruiting capable and dependable Catering Assistants to support catering operations across Cork city and county on a temporary basis. This role is best suited to candidates with strong mid-week, full-day availability who can commit to Monday to Friday shifts as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tills and process customer payments accurately
• Provide friendly, efficient service to customers
• Prepare, set up, and maintain service and dining areas
• Ensure all equipment and workspaces are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic
• Adhere to all food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures
• Take ownership of assigned duties to ensure service runs smoothly

Requirements

• Previous experience in a catering or food-service environment
• Must be available for full-day shifts during the week, not just evenings or weekends
• Confidence using tills and dealing with customers
• Barista or coffee-making experience an advantage
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
• HACCP and Manual Handling certification required (training can be facilitated)
• Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented
