The role:
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the deli department and delegate tasks to staff
- Maintain high standards across the deli area, ensuring high-quality products and service are the norm
- Supporting the Store Manager and ensuring the area operates at peak performance
- Responsible for optimizing stock levels and minimizing waste/waste control in your department.
- Develop new ideas to drive sales and increase footfall in-store
Key Responsibilities:
- Minimizing waste and maintaining margins
- Experience in stock control and stock management is essential
- Ensure the implementation of food safety standards and H.A.C.C.P.
- Train staff per company policies and procedures
- Resolve any customer queries or complaints effectively and efficiently
- Maintain the deli area to a high standard in accordance with company planograms
