Deli Manager – West Cork

Excel Recruitment are seeking a Deli Manager to lead a busy fresh food department within a well-established retail business in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate food retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys developing teams, driving sales and delivering exceptional customer service.

This role offers a competitive salary of €18-€19 p/h and the Opportunity to lead a busy and successful fresh food department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate and develop the deli team.
• Ensure excellent food quality, freshness and presentation standards.
• Drive sales, margin and waste control targets.
• Manage stock ordering, stock rotation and inventory control.
• Ensure HACCP, food safety and health & safety compliance at all times.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and create a positive customer experience.
• Monitor department KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Train and develop team members to maximise performance.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and operational excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Deli Manager, Deli Supervisor or Fresh Food Manager.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Commercially aware with experience managing sales and margins.
• Passion for fresh food and customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
