Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Deli Supervisor on behalf of our client’s busy convenience store in Kildare Village.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated deli professional to join a successful retail business and oversee a strong team focused on delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service.
Salary: €34k – €36k
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the deli department, ensuring high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation
- Lead, train, and support deli staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a positive team environment
- Control stock levels, manage ordering, and monitor waste and margins to achieve department targets
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations at all times
- Create and promote seasonal menus and meal deals to help drive sales and attract customers
- Review daily sales and identify opportunities to improve performance and increase revenue
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation, and product availability across the del
- Work closely with store management and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a deli management or supervisory position within a supermarket, forecourt, or convenience store
- Strong leadership ability with experience managing and developing a team
- Excellent understanding of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Proven ability to achieve strong sales and margin performance
- Strong organisational, communication, and customer service skills
- Passion for fresh food and maintaining high-quality standards
- Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including early mornings and weekends
