Salary: €40,000 – €43,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the butchery department
- Prepare, cut and merchandise fresh meat products to the highest standards
- Drive department sales and profitability
- Manage stock control, ordering and waste management
- Ensure excellent product availability and presentation
- Lead, coach and develop team members
- Maintain HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards
- Deliver exceptional customer service and product knowledge
- Monitor department performance and implement improvements where required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Head Butcher, Senior Butcher or Butcher Manager
- Strong fresh meat preparation and merchandising skills
- Experience leading and motivating a team
- Excellent knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive sales and margin
- Passion for fresh food and customer service
