A team of warm and friendly staff ensures the tradition of person-centered care is maintained for the residents. The ideal candidate will have some experience working in either a residential or hospital setting, who genuinely enjoys building a trusting rapport with their colleagues and the residents.

Responsibilities of the Staff Nurse:

  • Provide compassionate care to all residents
  • Maintain professional relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Recognise and escalate any deterioration in a resident’s condition
  • Clear and accurate documentation, updating individualized care plans regularly

Requirements of the Staff Nurse:

  • Relevant Nursing qualification
  • NMBI registered
  • Familiar with HIQA guidelines
  • Some experience is desirable

Excel Healthcare are actively recruiting a Senior Staff Nurse on behalf of our client who are based in Dublin 9. Our client is an Irish Healthcare Group, and this location is north of Dublin city centre.

This residential care home has plenty of character and includes an original church building as well as a new dementia unit. There is a focus on training and development for staff, which is encouraging for those who want to progress in their nursing career. The ideal Senior Staff Nurse will have 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting and confident in coordinating in the absence of a CNM.

Responsibilities of a Senior Staff Nurse:

  • Provide the highest standard of care to residents
  • Communicate well with both residents and other members of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Mentor and support junior staff
  • Lead the team in the absence of a CNM, where required
  • Promote best practice and maintain HIQA standards

  • 2+ years of staff nurse experience
