Excel Recruitment is currently looking for a B or C Licence Driver to join our client based in the South Dublin area. We are seeking a motivated individual to start immediately. It is an ongoing position with hours being 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with a competitive pay rate. Responsibilities of this Multi-Drop Truck Driver job:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials to specified locations
- Ensure that the load is correctly secured between locations
- Deliver goods to multiple destinations in a timely manner
- Always adhere to the Health & Safety procedures
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and report any discrepancies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Full clean B or C license
- Up-to-date CPC and Tacho card if you have a C licence
- Good English
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload materials
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manual handling certificate required (training provided)
Day-To-Day
- Ensure that the vehicle is properly maintained and report any issues to management
- Load and unload goods and materials as needed
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the van is in good working condition
- Plan routes and navigate through traffic to ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior
- Communicate with the dispatch team to provide updates on delivery status
- Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times
