This is a broad, end‑to‑end bookkeeping role with responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records up to trial balance, managing payroll and supporting external accountants. The position will suit someone comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the finance function on a part‑time basis.
* Processing purchase and sales invoices
* Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Preparing accounts to trial balance
* Bank, control account and balance sheet reconciliations
* End‑to‑end payroll processing for approximately 10 staff
* PAYE, PRSI and payroll reporting compliance
* VAT returns and Revenue submissions
* Posting journals and maintaining the general ledger
* Assisting with month‑end reporting and year‑end preparation
* Liaising with external accountants and internal stakeholders
* Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
* Previous experience in a bookkeeping or similar accounts role
* Proven experience preparing accounts to trial balance
* Experience running payroll end to end
* Strong knowledge of Irish VAT and payroll compliance
* Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience in an SME environment is desirable
