Key Responsibilities
- Support the Store Manager in all aspects of daily store operations
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team to deliver excellent customer service
- Drive sales performance while managing costs and improving profitability
- Oversee merchandising, stock control, and replenishment
- Assist with staff recruitment, training, development, and performance management
- Prepare staff rotas and manage labour costs effectively
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, health & safety, and company procedures
- Maintain high standards of presentation across all departments
- Act as Duty Manager in the Store Manager’s absence
- Deliver a consistently excellent shopping experience for every customer
The Ideal Candidate
- Drivers Licence
- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, or Senior Supervisor within convenience retail or supermarkets
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Commercially aware with experience driving sales and controlling costs
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Experience working with fresh food operations is an advantage
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations
- A hands-on, positive attitude with a passion for retail
