The Job:

  • The Intensive Support Worker will provide intensive, wraparound support to a small caseload of individuals with highly complex needs, including homelessness, trauma, mental ill health, substance use, offending behaviour and poor physical health.
  • You will build trusted relationships, coordinate multi‑agency support through the Complex Lives MDT, and lead on developing, implementing and reviewing personalised support and risk management plans. The job includes maintaining accurate records, contributing to audits and quality improvement, working collaboratively with partner agencies, and ensuring services meet regulatory and organisational standards.
  • You’ll also participate in a 24‑hour shift rota (including nights and weekends), support health and safety procedures, promote equality and client choice, and help drive continuous improvement across the service.

The Person:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with socially excluded or vulnerable individuals.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and partner agencies.
  • Experience delivering person‑centred, strengths‑based support, including assessing needs, risks and goals.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage your own workload effectively.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Full driving licence and access to transport, or suitable alternative if disability prevents driving.

The Job:

The Specialist Support Worker will provide 24/7 community-based support to Looked After Young People aged 16-21. You’ll work with a small caseload, offering practical, emotional and tenancy-related support to help them thrive in their own homes.

You’ll also:

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
  • Support with mental health, substance misuse, exploitation risks and daily living skills.
  • Create personalised support and risk management plans.
  • Help young people prepare for and sustain their tenancy (budgeting, utilities, repairs, neighbour issues).
  • Encourage engagement in education, training, work and community activities.
  • Liaise with Social Services, Mental Health teams and other agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding, health & safety and lone working procedures.

The Person:

  • Experience supporting Looked After Children, homeless individuals or vulnerable adults to set goals and work through person‑centred plans.
  • Experience in fast‑paced environments involving mental health, substance use, young people’s services or independent living support.
  • Experience supporting young people under 25 any of the following: Care System | Justice System | Prison | Institutional Care | Supported Accommodation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence using Microsoft Office.
  • Full current driving licence, or alternative transport arrangements if disability prevents driving.
  • NISCC registration (or willingness to register before employment) and ability to undergo Access NI checks.

Outreach Support Worker – Belfast

My client is a local charity that provides a range of services to people across Belfast who experience homelessness.
You will be available to cover shifts that run from 2 pm to 2 am, Monday to Sunday on a rota basis.

As this is an Outreach role, you’ll need to have 2 years of driving experience along with a clean driving licence.

Responsibilities:

  • Aim to reduce the number of rough sleeping in Belfast by engaging with, and assisting rough sleepers with complex and multiple needs, including rough sleepers who have drug/and or alcohol dependency.

  • Confident in managing challenging behaviours and complex needs

  • Excellent communications skills; verbal, written and IT proficient
