Responsibilities
- Manage and support the day-to-day upkeep of vehicles in our fleet.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles and machinery.
- Conduct general vehicle inspections and thorough safety checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues accurately and efficiently using diagnostic tools and driver reports.
- Replace or repair worn or damaged parts including brakes, engines, transmissions, suspension components, and electrical systems.
- Test parts and systems to confirm proper functioning.
- Troubleshoot problems and carry out repairs as necessary.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to scheduled plans and manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, records, and submit all relevant documentation in line with operational policies.
- Collaborate effectively with the Transport Manager and other team members.
- Perform other office and administrative duties as assigned.
Detail
- Location: South Dublin (On-site)
- Working Hours: 2 Shift Patterns Weekly Rotation
- AM Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
- PM Shift: 10:00 am – 6:30 pm
- Occasional Saturdays required
- Salary: From €55,000 per year
- Sign-on Bonus: €2,000 (€500 after 3 months, €500 after 9 months, €1,000 after 1 year)
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualification as a Motor Mechanic.
- Full C License preferred but not essential.
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the same or equivalent role.
- Completion of a post-secondary program in automotive service technology is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient use of diagnostic and hand tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and attention-to-detail capabilities.
- Commitment to safety standards and procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HGVs, including engines, brakes, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, and diesel engines.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritise workloads and ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Participate in continuous development and training opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest vehicle technologies.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by supporting colleagues and embracing team diversity.
- Be willing to travel to other company sites as and when required.
Qualifications
- At least 2 year’s experience maintaining commercial vehicles.
- Good working knowledge of vehicle electrics, hydraulics, diesel engines, and preventative maintenance programmes.
- Part qualified candidates considered (minimum Phase 4); apprentices also considered.
- Possess a full driving licence. Possession of an HGV Class 1 and/or Class 2 license is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-evolving field.
