Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Relief Chef for an immediate start with a busy food service operation in County Kildare. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys structured daytime hours and preparing high-quality, nutritious meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals to a high standard
  • Assist with meal preparation and portioning in line with daily production requirements
  • Ensure all food safety and HACCP procedures are followed at all times
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation and storage
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure meals are prepared efficiently and on schedule

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety procedures
  • Manual Handling and HACCP certificates (or willingness to complete training)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Legal entitlement to work in Ireland
  • A full driving licence and access to your own transport is an advantage
