Salary: €15 – €16 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of the deli department, ensuring excellent food quality, freshness, and presentation
  • Supervise and support deli staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment
  • Help train and develop team members to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise waste to maximise profitability
  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health & safety regulations
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and merchandising throughout the deli area
  • Support the Deli Manager in achieving sales and margin targets
  • Handle customer queries and ensure a positive shopping experience at all times
  • Step into a leadership role when required and assist with the smooth running of the department

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a deli, fresh food, or supervisory role within a convenience store, supermarket, or forecourt environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to support, motivate, and develop a team
  • Good knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for fresh food and maintaining high operational standards
  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and early mornings
