Deli Manager – Dublin South

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Deli Manager for our client’s busy convenience store in South Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fresh food professional to take ownership of a busy deli department, lead and develop the team, and drive high standards across food quality, customer service, and commercial performance.

Salary: €35k – €37k

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the deli department, ensuring excellent standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the deli team to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a positive working environment
  • Oversee food preparation and production, ensuring strong availability throughout the trading day
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, rotation, waste, and margin control to achieve departmental targets
  • Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve profitability
  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
  • Develop and implement promotions, meal deals, and seasonal offerings to drive customer engagement and sales
  • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation, and merchandising throughout the deli
  • Manage staff rostering and ensure appropriate coverage during busy trading periods
  • Support the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of deli team members
  • Work closely with store management to support overall store performance and achieve business objectives

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Deli Manager, Assistant Deli Manager, Deli Supervisor, or similar fresh food management role
  • Experience within a convenience store, supermarket, forecourt, or busy fresh food environment is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team
  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene procedures
  • Good commercial awareness with experience managing sales, margins, stock, and waste
  • Passion for fresh food with a strong focus on quality and presentation
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced retail environment
  • Flexible and hands-on approach to supporting the department and wider store

Chef – Fresh Food Market – Dublin

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Chef for our client’s busy Fresh Food Market store in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic chef to join a fast-paced fresh food operation, preparing high-quality dishes while contributing new ideas to the store’s food and menu offering.

Salary: €17 – €18 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and serve a range of fresh food products to a consistently high standard
  • Ensure all dishes are well presented and meet the required quality standards
  • Prepare customer orders efficiently while maintaining excellent service during busy periods
  • Support the development of new dishes and bring creative ideas to the menu and overall fresh food offering
  • Monitor food production and stock levels to minimise waste and shrinkage
  • Ensure ingredients and products are stored, rotated, and handled correctly
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen and food preparation area
  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, health & safety, and relevant food legislation
  • Work closely with the wider fresh food team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and consistently high standards

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Chef within a restaurant, café, fresh food, deli, or similar food service environment
  • Strong cooking and food preparation skills with a passion for fresh, high-quality food
  • Creative approach with an interest in contributing ideas for new dishes and menu options
  • Good knowledge of HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality during busy service periods
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly around food quality and presentation
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Positive and proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as required
