Excel Recruitment are seeking a dynamic Chef Manager for a Healthcare facility in Dublin. This is a daytime, Monday to Friday role ensuring a great opportunity for work-life balance.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that patients, staff, and visitors receive a first-class dining service tailored to their dietary needs. You will oversee the entire catering operation, ensuring that every meal meets the highest standards.
Requirements of the Chef Manager
- Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or healthcare industry.
- Valid work permit to work full-time with documentation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse team.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of dietary requirements, HACCP requirements and catering best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders.
Responsibilities of the Chef Manager
- Lead the culinary team to create diverse and nutritious menus that cater to the dietary requirements of our patients and staff.
- Maintain control over food costs, labour expenses, and other operational expenses to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Drawing up staff rosters within the allocated budget.
- Training and mentoring of staff, continuing a culture of continuous improvement and upskilling.
- Implement rigorous quality control measures to maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with HACCP requirements.
- Cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation.
- Foster positive relationships with patients, visitors, and staff, addressing any feedback or concerns promptly and professionally.
