My client is a long-established Irish wholesale company, supplying products to both independent and major retailers across the country.
They are now seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their Head Office team in Rathnew, Wicklow.
This is a full-time, office-based position of 37.5 hours per week, with no hybrid working option.
Salary is €30k.
The Accounts Assistant will oversee key transactional accounting duties across purchase and sales ledgers, supplier payments and customer receipts. The role will also involve preparing information and reports for the General Manager and supporting the wider leadership team with timely financial data to assist with decision making.
Key duties for the Accounts Assistant role include:
- Receiving, checking, coding and recording supplier invoices
- Matching purchase orders with the relevant invoices
- Filing, scanning and indexing invoices to support timely payment processing
- Assisting with month-end and year-end deadlines, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule
- Responding to account queries in a timely and professional manner
- Reconciling monthly accounts, and resolving discrepancies
- Processing expenses and claims, ensuring VAT is accurate and costs are correctly coded
- Preparing, reviewing and analysing reports to assist the leadership team with business decisions
- Carrying out general office administration duties to support day-to-day business needs
- Providing support with payroll processing when required

Accounts Payable – 12 month contract
My client is seeking an Accounts Payable to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
This person will work predominantly in the Fermoy office but must be able to travel also to the office in Blackpool..
Salary is €40k plus 2 days working from home.
This role will suit an experienced Accounts Payable professional with a proven track record in high-volume invoice processing, strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with accounting systems.
Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems would be an advantage, with full training and support provided.
The position requires a confident communicator who is comfortable liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders, can work effectively under time pressure and manage multiple priorities, and who brings a high level of attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Key Responsibilities for the role of Accounts Assistant:
- Enter and accurately code a high volume of purchase invoices.
- Match invoices to supporting documentation (POs, GRNs and approvals) and follow up on discrepancies.
- Monitor finance mailboxes for invoice queries, statements and approvals.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries efficiently.
- Complete supplier statement reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Support bank and control account reconciliations as required.
- Assist with supplier payment runs, including preparation of bank payment files for review.
- Support month-end close activities related to Accounts Payable.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the AP function.
- Provide ad hoc finance and administrative support to the wider finance team as needed.

Responsibilities of the Revenue Manager position include:
To ensure maximum revenue is achieved on any given day by using yield management techniques. To achieve, if not exceed the budgets & targets within the department. To manage all element of revenue and reservations management.
Duties of the Revenue Manager position include:
- To achieve the budget as set out on a monthly period

- Forecasting/Action plan: Where revenue is falling short of budget an action plan needs to be put in place and executed in good time to ensure the hotel reaches its potential revenue.
- To ensure the reservation team are trained on all elements of their role.
- To ensure reservations training is carried out with the reception team where the team is taking reservations.
- To compile the roster in a timely manner and manage holiday & B/hol entitlements
- To attend seminars /cluster meeting/ training courses as required
- To compile with central office reporting structure, daily, weekly & monthly
- To agree sales initiatives with the Sales Manager to maximise Room Revenue
- To identify market needs from both the hotel guests and the local market.
- To assist the Sales Manager to monitor the activities and trends of competitor hotels on a regular basis
- To plan and implement effective upselling activities to ensure maximum room revenue through effective rate management
- To carry out any other duties as directed by the General Manager.
- To comply with the company policies regarding the following: Fire, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Security etc.
Requirements of the Revenue Manager Position:
- Previous Experience as a Revenue Manager within a Hotel/ Hospitality environment.
- Professional qualifications.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage a team in a busy environment.
- Good standard and comprehension of English
- Full working tights within Ireland.
