Excel Healthcare is hiring a Senior Clinical Psychologist on behalf of a well-known psychiatric facility north of Dublin City. The successful candidate will focus on a very specialised rehabilitation unit that has been recently developed.

The rehabilitation unit has adapted a care pathway for people with severe and enduring mental illness and prepares them to return to the community over an extended period of time. The Senior Clinical Psychologist will lead a small team of psychologists working alongside them, which will continue to grow as service needs increase. The position would ideally suit a candidate who has similar experience in a previous role and staff grade clinical psychologists will be considered. This is a superb opportunity to join Ireland’s leading provider of acute and specialist mental health services.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry a clinical caseload and provide psychological assessments of service users
  • Provide psychological assessments
  • Contribute a psychological perspective to case planning and in MDT meetings
  • Provide clinical supervision to other psychology staff including CBT therapists and trainee psychologists
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and provide service reports as required
  • Receive regular clinical professional supervision

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI)
  • 2+ years’ experience as a staff grade clinical psychologist

We at Excel Healthcare are seeking a Healthcare Assistant for our client’s psychiatric care facility in North Dublin. This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in mental health services.

This client provides care to adults with acute mental health services, long-term care for those with psychiatric needs and two-day hospitals. They have recently expanded their services which are set in a bright and modern building making it welcoming and less clinical so that service users feel more at ease. The work ethic is team-based to enable and support service users in their therapeutic journey. If you are a Healthcare Assistant who shows compassion and respect to others, this role is for you.

Responsibilities for this Healthcare Assistant:

  • Provide personal, emotional and practical support to service users
  • Promote service users use of effective communication and interaction with others
  • Encourage independence and advocate on behalf of service users as required
  • Working closely with other members of the staff team
  • Work in accordance with all Hospital Policies and Procedures

Requirements:

  • Valid QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support
  • Caring and empathetic in nature
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is an advantage
