Successful Candidate:

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist psychological input to young people requiring mental health support within a CAMHS service.

You will bring sound clinical judgement, strong assessment and formulation skills, and the ability to work confidently within a busy multidisciplinary environment. A compassionate, calm, and practical approach will be essential in supporting young people with complex presentations.

Job Purpose:

The Senior Psychologist will provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based therapeutic input to young people attending the service. The role will involve close multidisciplinary working, consultation, risk-informed clinical input, and contribution to care planning within a specialist CAMHS setting.

This role would particularly suit a Senior Psychologist with experience in CAMHS, acute mental health, and/or eating disorder presentations, who is seeking a meaningful long-term agency opportunity.

Eligibility Criteria:

A Doctorate or equivalent qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
Eligibility for professional registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland or relevant professional body.
Ideally, at least 2 years’ experience at staff grade level.
Experience working within CAMHS or acute mental health settings is desirable.
Experience working with eating disorder presentations is desirable.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and liaise professionally with young people, families, carers, and healthcare professionals.

Senior Clinical Psychologist

Excel Healthcare is hiring a Senior Clinical Psychologist on behalf of a well-known psychiatric facility north of Dublin City. The successful candidate will focus on a very specialised rehabilitation unit that has been recently developed.

The rehabilitation unit has adapted a care pathway for people with severe and enduring mental illness and prepares them to return to the community over an extended period of time. The Senior Clinical Psychologist will lead a small team of psychologists working alongside them, which will continue to grow as service needs increase. The position would ideally suit a candidate who has similar experience in a previous role and staff grade clinical psychologists will be considered. Responsibilities:

Carry a clinical caseload and provide psychological assessments of service users
Provide psychological assessments

Receive regular clinical professional supervision
