About the RoleOur client is seeking a motivated and detail-focused QEHS Lead to join a growing team within the electrical industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality, environmental, health and safety professional who has a strong understanding of integrated management systems and is passionate about driving compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, developing, and improving QEHS standards across multiple projects. They will ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, client requirements, ISO standards, and internal policies, while also supporting a strong safety-first culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company’s Integrated Management System in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and carry out internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments across projects and operational areas.
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented effectively.
  • Ensure employees receive appropriate IMS, quality, environmental, health and safety training.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory compliance requirements, maintaining the Legal and Compliance Register as required.
  • Provide guidance to management on regulatory changes and compliance obligations.
  • Support tender and project teams in meeting QEHS, client, and project-specific compliance requirements.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage continuous improvement across all areas of the business.
  • Prepare QEHS reports, documentation, and performance metrics for management review.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, project teams, and internal stakeholders on QEHS-related matters.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in QEHS, Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a QEHS role, ideally within the electrical, engineering, or construction sector.
  • Internal Auditor certification for ISO standards is desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing Integrated Management Systems and supporting ISO certification processes.
  • Previous experience managing internal and external ISO audits is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple project teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Commitment to maintaining high quality standards and ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
