Role Summary:

You will be well supported through structured supervision and consultation with Senior Psychologists. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday role on a 1-year contract with a strong likelihood of extension (service need dependent).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological assessment, formulation and intervention to children and young people presenting with a range of emotional, behavioural and developmental needs (e.g., anxiety, ADHD, autism-related needs, attachment and school/family difficulties).
  • Develop evidence-informed, child-centred plans in collaboration with children, families and MDT colleagues.
  • Deliver individual and group-based interventions, drawing on appropriate therapeutic models and outcome measures.
  • Provide consultation and practical guidance to parents/carers and relevant professionals involved in the child’s care.
  • Engage in regular clinical supervision (including with Senior Psychologists), reflective practice and continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement and psychologically informed MDT working.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology and/or Chartered Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist through PSI.
  • Candidates qualified overseas must provide evidence of validation by the Department of Health at the time of application.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of a range of Psychological assessment and therapeutic models
