Our client is seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse (RCN, RGN, or RNID) to join a nurse-led home support team caring for a baby with complex needs in Co. Meath.

Location: Co. Meath

Hours: Full-time | Day & Night Shifts Available

Pay: €30-€60 per hour (see rates below)

Shift pattern:

  • 7 × 8-hour night shifts
  • 5 × 8-hour day shifts (Monday-Saturday)
  • Total: 96 hours per week (shared between the nursing team)

As Paediatric Nurse, you will:

  • Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based care in the child’s home
  • Provide all aspects of tracheostomy care, including changing ties, suctioning, and emergency tube changes
  • Monitor stoma skin integrity and identify early signs of breakdown
  • Administer nebulisations and suctioning via tracheostomy
  • Recognise and respond promptly to respiratory distress
  • Administer oral medication
  • Provide gastrostomy care and enteral feeding
  • Manage seizures and provide pressure area care
  • Offer emotional, developmental, and play support to the child and family
  • Work closely with the family and multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and clear communication

The successful candidate will have:

  • NMBI registration (RGN, RCN, or RNID)
  • Paediatric nursing experience (home care or acute setting)
  • Strong clinical competence, particularly in tracheostomy care
  • Compassion, patience, and commitment to family-centred care

Pay rates:

  • Monday-Saturday: €30/hour
  • Sunday: €45/hour
  • Bank Holidays: €60/hour
