We’re partnering with a well-established, independently owned hotel in Waterford to recruit a Night Manager who will take ownership of the hotel’s overnight operation and play a key role in maintaining the exceptional standards the property is known for.

What You’ll Do

  • Take full responsibility for the hotel’s overnight operation and act as the senior manager on duty.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring every guest interaction is handled professionally and efficiently.
  • Manage late arrivals, early departures, guest requests, and any operational issues that may arise during the night.
  • Complete nightly audits, reconciliations, and reports accurately and within required deadlines.
  • Ensure the security and safety of guests, colleagues, and hotel property throughout the shift.
  • Carry out regular property inspections and maintain high operational standards across all areas of the hotel.
  • Coordinate effectively with the Front Office and wider hotel teams to ensure a seamless transition between shifts.
  • Prepare the hotel for a successful start to the next day, ensuring all departments are fully informed and operationally ready.
  • Respond confidently to unforeseen challenges and make decisions that prioritise both guest satisfaction and business needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Night Manager, Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Front Office, or supervisory hotel role.
  • A confident decision-maker who can work independently and take ownership of situations.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience completing audits, cash handling, reporting, or hotel administration would be beneficial.
  • A calm and professional approach when dealing with guests and operational challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and guest service excellence.

  • Assisting with any queries or issues that residents may have
  • Ensure all security, health and safety regulations are adhered to
  • General administration and reception duties
  • Ensure reception and communal areas are kept clean and presentable
  • Update management on any building repairs or maintenance needed

Main Requirements
