Job Purpose
As a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred occupational therapy services to older adults undergoing rehabilitation. You will play a key role in supporting patients to maximise their independence, functional ability, and overall wellbeing.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of comprehensive rehabilitation programmes in a supportive and progressive clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions for older persons in a rehabilitation setting
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans focused on functional independence and safe discharge planning
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members including Physiotherapists, Nurses, and Medical Staff
- Provide education and support to patients and their families/carers
- Complete clinical documentation and reports in line with professional standards
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and service development initiatives
Essential Requirements
- BSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working with older persons / geriatric rehabilitation
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Full driving licence and access to a car (desirable)
