My client’s brand is well recognised worldwide in their industry, their products stocked in all the leading DIY, Hardware, and Builders Merchants nationwide.

They are recruiting an experienced Sales & Merchandising Rep for existing stores across mostly Dublin, Wicklow, and Kildare – approximately 100 stores.

This job is a mix of 70% merchandising and 30% sales.

Though a background selling into similar retailers is ideal, I welcome candidates with other retail sales experience.

As Retail Merchandiser you will maintain relationships with these large retail outlets, ensuring all products are well-displayed, stocked, and promoted in store, negotiating more space, selling in new lines, promotions and displays.

There may also be an element of product training and instore demonstrations which is a lovely addition

It is especially important that this person comes with energy, enthusiasm to hit sales KPI’s and lots of personality; a likeable individual who is super focused in giving 150% to this role.

Salary & Benefits: €35k-€40k, Bonus, 25 days holidays, Company Vehicle, 5% Pension Contribution, Discounted Health Insurance, €10 Daily Lunch Allowance.

Key Responsibilities for the job of Merchandiser & Sales Rep – DIY, Hardware & Builders Merchants

  • Achieve your sale and merchandising targets
  • Conduct instore training and product demonstrations
  • Arrange product displays to align with company standards and promotional campaigns
  • Ensure shelves, racks, and promotional spaces are adequately stocked
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with store staff and management
  • Communicate effectively with store teams to understand their needs and challenges
  • Monitor inventory levels and report low stock or replenishment needs
  • Ensure accurate pricing and signage for all products
  • Recommend additional sales opportunities based on store needs and product performance
  • Collect and report competitor activities, including pricing, promotions, and new products
  • Provide feedback to management on product performance and customer preferences
  • Maintain compliance with company and retailer guidelines for merchandising
  • Submit daily/weekly reports, including photos of completed displays, stock counts, and store visit summaries
  • Set up promotional displays, stands, and fixtures
  • Ensure promotional materials are accurately positioned

Trade Counter Salesperson – Electrical Wholesaler

My client with 30 branches nationwide supply electrical products to trade customers.

I am looking for a sales and customer focused Trade Counter Salesperson to join a new branch opening in Gorey.

A 40-hour working week, shifts will be mainly 7am-4am or 8am-5am Monday to Friday with every 2nd or 3rd Saturday 8am-12am.

Although a background in selling electrical products is advantageous, it is not essential, and I welcome retail candidates from a different industry or a tradesperson who wants to down tools.

As Counter Sales Assistant you will provide expert advice, product knowledge, and quotations both over the phone, in person and on email.

Whatever the background I need someone with a bubbly and enthusiastic personality who enjoys consultative selling-taking the time to assess customer requirements and offer expert product knowledge (which can be learned and training given).

Salary & Package:

  • Salary €35k-€40k negotiable but must reflect experience

Responsibilities for the job of Trade Counter Salesperson – Electrical Wholesaler

  • Customer Service: Welcome and assist customers at the trade counter, offering expert advice on electrical products.
  • Order Processing: Accurately process customer orders in-store, over the phone, and via email.
  • Sales Growth: Upsell and cross-sell relevant products to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Quotations: Prepare customer quotes and proactively follow up to convert enquiries into confirmed sales.
  • Supplier Liaison: Communicate with suppliers to check product availability, pricing, and lead times.
  • Stock Management: Maintain correct stock levels, carry out regular stock checks, and support replenishment activities.
  • Counter Presentation: Ensure the trade counter is clean, organised, and fully stocked at all times.
  • Customer Resolution: Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring timely and satisfactory solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse and delivery teams to ensure orders are picked, packed, and delivered accurately and on schedule.

They are recruiting a Field Sales & Merchandising Representative to manage up to 80 retailers across Leinster. The ideal candidate will live in Dublin or surrounding counties.

Package

  • €32K-€40K negotiable but must reflect experience

As a Sales Executive you will visit up to 8 customers a day, maintaining relationships with retail managers to gain more space by increasing volume and range of product on the shelves, placing orders and merchandising.

Though someone with similar experience would be ideal I welcome a retail candidate (trade counter, DIY, Hardware, Showroom) but what is important is that this person comes with energy and lots of personality, someone who is target driven and can influence their customers.

Key Responsibilities for the job of Merchandising & Sales Developer:

  • Follow a store call file and journey plan, maintaining good relationships with your stores
  • Achieve your KPI’s such as volume, promotional execution and product distribution
  • Introduce new products and implement promotions
  • Utilise certain seasonal trends to improve product placement and sales
  • Negotiating extra displays for upcoming promotions
  • Have excellent product knowledge and know your competitors
  • Provide accurate pricing keeping in line with your margin target
