Finance Manager
I am recruiting an experienced Finance Manager for my client based in Limerick
As Finance Manager you will be responsible for leading the companies financial planning, monthly reporting, budgeting, compliance, cash flow management, and operational finance activities across the organisation.
The role ensures financial integrity, supports strategic decision-making, maintains statutory compliance, and drives continuous improvement of financial processes while partnering with operational teams to achieve business objectives.
The ideal candidate will come from a multi-site business with experience in managing budgets, financial reporting, audits, payroll, VAT, and cash flow.
Salary & Package:
- €55k-€65k negotiable but must reflect experience
- 5% Pension Contribution
Responsibilities for the job of Finance Manager:
Financial Planning & Budgeting
- Lead the annual budgeting process.
- Carry out quarterly budget reviews and monitor budget performance.
- Analyse financial results against budget and make recommendations.
- Support strategic planning through financial forecasting and business analysis.
Financial Reporting & Performance Management
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor profitability, gross margins, operating expenses, and overall financial performance.
- Produce management reports, KPIs, and financial dashboards.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive management.
Financial Operations
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.
- Maintain effective financial controls and accounting procedures.
- Improve finance processes, systems, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Accounts Payable & Supplier Management
- Oversee Accounts Payable operations.
- Ensure suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
- Manage supplier reconciliations and payment processes.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier queries.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and effective cash flow management.
Cash Management
- Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity.
- Oversee petty cash administration and reconciliations.
- Monitor bank reconciliations and financial controls.
Financial Compliance & Audit
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
- Oversee VAT submissions and statutory tax obligations.
- Ensure compliance with revenue authority requirements.
- Coordinate tax payments and statutory reporting.
Business Partnership
- Provide financial support to operational management.
- Partner with department managers on financial planning and decision-making.
- Support cross-functional projects including acquisitions and business initiatives.
- Present financial information to senior leadership.
Stakeholder & Contract Management
- Manage relationships with suppliers, auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
- Assist with supplier agreements, service contracts, and tender processes.
