Key responsibilities as Retail Department Manager
Lead and inspire your department team. Drive performance to meet and exceed sales targets while ensuring operational excellence
- Create an inviting and impactful store presentation that enhances the customer experience
- Monitor sales performance, pinpoint growth opportunities, and pivot strategies to maximise results.
- Work closely with head office and buying teams to balance stock levels, manage margins, and curate relevant product categories
- Provide ongoing training and support, ensuring your team possess the confidence and skills to excel.
- Champion product knowledge and service excellence to drive conversion rates and enhance the customer experience.
Skills and Qualities essential for this role
- Minimum of three years in retail management experience in fashion, non‑food, or grocery retail-demonstrating adaptability across different retail environments
- Proven ability to lead and motivate large teams, consistently delivering outstanding performance outcomes
- Strong understanding of retail operations, with expertise in visual merchandising and customer focused service delivery
- Demonstrated success in leading teams to not only meet but exceed sales targets and key performance indicators
- Exceptional organisational, multitasking, and operational planning skills to ensure efficient department management
