Responsibilities
- Reinforce the company’s image as the B2B partner of choice by demonstrating a positive and professional attitude to customers at all times.
- Represent the company by ensuring both personal appearance and vehicle presentation are maintained to high standards.
- Operate rigid vehicles in compliance with all road safety regulations, company policies, and transport regulations.
- Plan delivery routes effectively to maximise time and cost efficiency while meeting specific customer requirements.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and effectively, taking account of product size, weight, and delivery routing.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to maintain safety and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, vehicle condition and ensure all relevant paperwork is completed correctly.
- Observe local surroundings during deliveries and report any potential business opportunities.
- Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams to address any transport or delivery issues promptly and professionally.
- Promote a positive and respectful work environment supporting diversity and inclusion.
- Support the Branch Network by promoting products and services, providing advice and assistance to customers, and maintaining up-to-date corporate service and product information within the vehicle.
- Adhere strictly to Health and Safety and Company procedures regarding vehicle use to protect individual and organisational interests.
- Follow environmental procedures compliant with ISO 14001 standards, including waste disposal, energy use, chemical handling, and recycling.
- Report any environmental incidents immediately and participate in investigations as required.
- Participate in environmental awareness and relevant training sessions.
- Contribute ideas to support environmental objectives and promote a culture of sustainability among colleagues.

Qualifications / Experience
- Valid Category C driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a rigid vehicle driver or similar role, ideally within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution centre.
- Knowledge of transport regulations and safety guidelines including DGSA compliance.
- Previous training or experience in manual handling equipment and safety harness use is an advantage.

- Good knowledge of warehousing systems is an advantage.

- Interact courteously with clients and site personnel during deliveries.
- Document completed deliveries and promptly report any issues or discrepancies.
- Return vehicle to base, conduct post-trip vehicle inspections, and prepare for the following day.
Work Environment
- Predominantly warehouse-based with frequent driving duties.

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting full-time Rigid Multi Drop drivers for our client, who are a leading, reputable, FMCG company based in County Limerick.
We are looking for an experienced C driver, who has a strong work ethic, flexible approach, and a genuine desire to provide excellent customer care at all times, deliveries based around Limerick City and County.
Responsibilities as a Rigid Multi Drop Driver:
- Maintain ongoing communication with Logistics and Customer Service teams
- Always deliver a fantastic customer experience
- Unloading the vehicle
Requirements for a Rigid Multi Drop Driver:
- Must have experience driving trucks, full clean “C” driving license, all CPC certs and driver’s tacho card
- 2 year’s experience in Multi-Drop delivery
- Fit and healthy – this is a physically demanding role as heavy lifting is involved daily
- Excellent interpersonal skills are essential
