My client a long-established, Irish department store group are recruiting for an exciting Homewares Department Manager opportunity with a well-established retailer offering excellent career progression and a lovely working environment in Galway.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail manager or senior supervisor looking to take ownership of a classy homewares department. The successful candidate will lead a small team, drive sales, maintain exceptional merchandising standards, and ensure an outstanding customer experience throughout the department.

Key Responsibilities of this Department Manager job

  • Manage the daily operation of the department
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of 3-4 colleagues per day
  • Deliver exceptional customer service standards at all times
  • Maintain strong merchandising, stock presentation, and housekeeping standards
  • Ensure stock is replenished and presented for trading each day
  • Manage deliveries, pricing, stock processing, and stock accuracy
  • Monitor performance and support the achievement of sales targets
  • Handle customer queries, refunds, and exchanges professionally
  • Support store opening and closing procedures as a key holder when required
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained throughout the department
