An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced Production Operatives to join a growing and quality-focused manufacturing team in Ballymena. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in production, construction, or trade-based work such as joinery or general labouring.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a production team to meet daily output targets and quality standards
  • Prepare materials and equipment for production processes
  • Carry out tasks efficiently in line with production plans
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with team leaders regarding progress and any issues
  • Complete required production documentation accurately
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and team objectives
  • Be flexible to work across different areas of the production environment as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in production, construction, or a trade environment (e.g. joinery, labouring, general construction)
  • Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
  • Strong work ethic with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Willingness to undertake training and develop new skills
  • Basic understanding of written and spoken English
  • Full driving licence is advantageous due to location

Desirable (not essential):

  • Experience reading technical or construction drawings
  • Familiarity with hand, air, or power tools
  • Experience in civil engineering or related projects
  • Forklift or overhead crane licence
  • Relevant site certifications (CSR, First Aid, Fire Warden, etc.)

  • In this role, you will uphold all company policies and Information Management Systems while contributing to a collaborative, high‑performing environment that supports your growth and success.

The Person:

  • Third level degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or construction related discipline.
  • 5 year’s minimum previous experience in a similar role.
  • Sound working knowledge of construction contracts such as JCT/NEC/PWC.
  • The ability to plan, organise and prioritise and work to meet deadlines through using your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages with particular emphasis on Outlook and Excel.
  • Full valid driving licence.
