Role Overview:
As an Acute Registered General Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients within busy acute healthcare settings. You will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred nursing care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with hospital policies
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate concerns where appropriate
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Adhere to HIQA standards, infection prevention protocols, and clinical guidelines
- Promote patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times
- Respond professionally and compassionately to patient needs in a fast-paced acute environment
Essential Requirements:
- Active NMBI registration as a Registered General Nurse
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
- Previous acute nursing experience desirable
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant nursing certifications and mandatory training
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Own transport desirable but not essential
