  • Experience participating in on-call services desirable

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-volume, well-established Radiology Department delivering essential diagnostic services to both inpatients and outpatients across a wide catchment area

The successful candidate will work as part of a committed and experienced Radiography team, delivering a high-quality diagnostic imaging service in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.

The modalities offered include: MRI, CT, and General X-Ray.

General Responsibilities:

  • Participate fully in the delivery of MRI, CT, and General X-Ray services across the department
  • Contribute to a busy general and emergency radiography service
  • Participate in on-call and out-of-hours services as required Maintain excellent standards of patient care and radiographic practice
  • Ensure compliance with radiation protection principles (justification, optimisation, ALARA, and dose limits)
  • Adhere to all local rules, statutory directives, and HSE policies Utilise RIS, PACS, and other clinical systems effectively
  • Report equipment faults promptly and maintain a safe working environment
  • Engage proactively in CPD, training, and service improvement initiatives

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must hold a Diploma/Degree of Radiography.
  • Must hold CORU registration
  • Knowledge of the RIS system and experience with on-call services.
  • Flexibility to work in the General Department and adapt to changes in healthcare environments.
  • Strong awareness of Radiation Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Current knowledge of Diagnostic Radiography theory and practice.
