Responsibilities of a Catering Assistant

  • Assist in food preparation, ensuring hygiene and safety standards are met
  • Serve food and beverages in a professional manner
  • Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and equipment
  • Stock and replenish food stations and service areas
  • Work as part of a team to ensure efficient food service
  • Handle customer queries and provide excellent service
  • Support chefs and kitchen staff as required

Requirements of Catering Assistant

  • Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service role
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge (Food Safety certificate required)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Previous barista experience is desirable
  • Full Manual Handling certificate (Training can be provided)
  • Own transport or ability to reliably travel to various locations in County Clare.

Excel Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Barista for full and part-time work across Dublin. Working with Excel offers the benefits of flexible hours to work around a personal schedule.

Barista Duties:

  • Preparation of hot beverages up to general standards
  • Ensuring surfaces are neat and clean during service
  • Keeping Coffee station and storage areas organized
  • Assisting with deliveries in the morning
  • Preparing the coffee station at the end of the shift for the following day

Barista Requirements:

  • Good experience in the barista style coffee making
