Training and Support Officer

€20000 - €21000 Office & Administrative Dublin City Centre

At Excel Recruitment, we are currently recruiting a Training and Support Officer on behalf of a well-established national membership organisation within the charity and not-for-profit sector.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation that supports a large network of members and volunteers across Ireland. Working closely with senior management, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering training, developing support resources, and building strong relationships with volunteers nationwide.

This is a part-time position (17.5 hours per week), offering a mix of office (Dublin City Centre), remote and field-based work, with regular travel throughout Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver training programmes for members and volunteers nationwide.
  • Prepare training materials, guidance documents and support resources.
  • Promote training sessions and manage participant registrations.
  • Liaise with external training providers where required.
  • Evaluate training programmes and implement improvements based on participant feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers and regional representatives.
  • Prepare reports for senior management following training sessions.
  • Deliver presentations at regional and national meetings and events.
  • Manage the training budget and monitor expenditure.
  • Provide ongoing support to volunteers and contribute to the continued development of the organisation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with members, volunteers or within the charity/not-for-profit sector.
  • Experience coordinating or delivering training programmes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Experience preparing reports, guidance documents or training materials.
  • Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
