Training and Support Officer
At Excel Recruitment, we are currently recruiting a Training and Support Officer on behalf of a well-established national membership organisation within the charity and not-for-profit sector.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation that supports a large network of members and volunteers across Ireland. Working closely with senior management, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering training, developing support resources, and building strong relationships with volunteers nationwide.
This is a part-time position (17.5 hours per week), offering a mix of office (Dublin City Centre), remote and field-based work, with regular travel throughout Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver training programmes for members and volunteers nationwide.
- Prepare training materials, guidance documents and support resources.
- Promote training sessions and manage participant registrations.
- Liaise with external training providers where required.
- Evaluate training programmes and implement improvements based on participant feedback.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with volunteers and regional representatives.
- Prepare reports for senior management following training sessions.
- Deliver presentations at regional and national meetings and events.
- Manage the training budget and monitor expenditure.
- Provide ongoing support to volunteers and contribute to the continued development of the organisation.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with members, volunteers or within the charity/not-for-profit sector.
- Experience coordinating or delivering training programmes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Experience preparing reports, guidance documents or training materials.
- Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland.
