Trainee Manager – Bray

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an ambitious Trainee Manager to join a busy and well-established supermarket in Bray.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working as a Supervisor, Team Leader, or Trainee Manager who is ready to take the next step into retail management.

Salary: €36,000

You will work closely with the senior management team, gaining hands-on experience across all areas of the store while developing the commercial, operational and leadership skills needed to progress your career.

Responsibilities:

• Support the management team with the day-to-day running of the store
• Lead and motivate team members during busy trading periods
• Maintain excellent standards across merchandising, availability and store presentation
• Assist with stock ordering, replenishment, deliveries and stock control
• Monitor waste and support strong margin management
• Gain exposure to key store KPIs including sales, labour, waste and profitability
• Support fresh food, grocery and front-end departments
• Assist with staff training, delegation and performance
• Ensure excellent customer service standards throughout the store
• Support opening and closing procedures and take on additional management responsibility as you develop
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety and health & safety procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience within grocery, supermarket or convenience retail
• Experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader, or similar would be advantageous
• Ambition to progress into retail management
• Strong communication and people skills
• Commercial awareness and an interest in
