Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall day-to-day operation of the supermarket
- Drive sales, profitability and commercial performance across all departments
- Deliver exceptional customer service standards throughout the store
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing management and colleague tea
- Ensure excellence in merchandising, store presentation and operational standards
- Manage labour budgets, productivity and overall store costs
- Monitor and drive performance across all key retail KPIs
- Ensure stock control, availability and inventory management processes are maintained
- Drive fresh food, grocery and promotional performance across the business
- Lead recruitment, onboarding and succession planning initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety and food safety requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer experience
About You:
- Previous experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Supermarket Manager or Senior Retail Manager
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Proven track record of delivering commercial and operational results
- Experience managing large teams within a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong understanding of supermarket operations, fresh food and customer service
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Commercially focused with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Passionate about developing people and building high-performing teams
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
