Supermarket Online Shopping Manager – South Dublin

Our client, a leading grocery retailer in Ireland, is seeking an experienced Online Shopping Manager to oversee a busy online shopping and delivery department while leading a high-performing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a background in supermarket online shopping, click-and-collect operations, grocery retail management, or home delivery services who enjoys leading teams, driving customer satisfaction, and delivering operational excellence.

About the Role

As Online Shopping Manager, you will take ownership of the online shopping department, ensuring all customer orders are picked accurately, delivered on time, and managed efficiently. You will lead a team of approximately 15-20 pickers and 5-6 delivery drivers while maintaining strong stock control and shop floor standards.

This role combines people management, operational planning, customer service, and commercial awareness in a fast-moving retail environment.

Salary: €50k + Bonus + Pension

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the online shopping department
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 15-20 personal shoppers/order pickers
• Supervise and coordinate a team of 5-6 delivery drivers
• Ensure online orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered within agreed timeframes
• Monitor productivity, service levels, and departmental performance
• Manage labour costs, scheduling, and resource planning
• Oversee stock control, availability, and replenishment processes
• Maintain excellent shop floor standards and merchandising compliance
• Handle customer queries and resolve service issues professionally
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed across the department

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as an Online Shopping Manager, E-Commerce Manager, Home Delivery Manager, Department Manager, or Grocery Retail Manager
• Experience leading large teams within a supermarket or grocery retail setting
• Strong knowledge of online order fulfilment and home delivery operations
• Proven people management and coaching skills
• Experience managing KPIs, productivity, and service levels
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities
• Strong stock management and shop floor operations experience
• Customer-focused approach with excellent communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
