Store Manager

Excel Recruitment is seeking an experienced Store Manager to take responsibility for a busy, high-turnover grocery retail operation in Co. Offaly.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering a salary of €65,000 to €75,000 for an accomplished grocery retail manager who enjoys being close to the day-to-day operation. Managing a substantial store with a large team of approximately dedicated employees, you’ll have genuine ownership of standards, systems, stock, costs and overall store performance.

Responsibilities

* Take ownership of the day-to-day running and overall performance of the store

* Lead, support and develop a team of approximately 60 employees

* Maintain excellent standards across grocery, fresh food and the wider store operation

* Manage ordering, stock levels, availability and stock control

* Use systems effectively to support ordering and operational performance

* Monitor margins, costs and key store performance indicators

* Introduce strong operational structure, routines and accountability across the store

* Assess, coach and develop the existing team while strengthening management capability

* Ensure retail systems, processes and procedures are consistently followed

* Maintain a visible, hands-on presence across the shop floor

Requirements

* Strong Store Manager or senior grocery retail management experience within SuperValu or Centra

* Excellent working knowledge of retail systems

* Experience managing a busy, high-turnover grocery retail environment

* Strong understanding of ordering, stock management, margins and cost control

* Good operational knowledge across both grocery and fresh food

* Proven ability to lead and develop a sizeable retail team

* A hands-on management style with the confidence to take ownership of store performance

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to bring structure, consistency and accountability to an operation
