Store Manager – Castlebar

Our client, a leading retailer, is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a high-performing grocery store in Castlebar.

As Store Manager, you will have full responsibility for the store’s performance, ensuring operational excellence while creating a positive environment for both customers and employees. You will lead from the front, inspire your team, and drive standards across all aspects of the business.

Salary: €50k plus bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of store operations and performance
• Lead, motivate, and develop a large retail team
• Drive sales growth and achieve key business targets
• Monitor margins, stock control, waste management, and profitability
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high store standards
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, training, and performance
• Analyse KPIs and implement strategies to improve results
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, and health & safety regulations
• Maintain strong standards of merchandising and store presentation

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Store Manager in a grocery retail environment
• Strong people leadership and team development skills
• Proven track record of driving sales and profitability
• Experience managing margins, stock control, labour costs, and KPIs
• Excellent commercial awareness and decision-making ability
• Customer-focused with a hands-on management style
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
