Responsibilities of the Shop Manager

• Manage the daily running of a busy butcher’s shop, deli, and fresh food counter
• Lead, train, and support the team across butchery, kitchen, deli, and front of house
• Maintain strong standards in food quality, HACCP, hygiene, merchandising, and presentation
• Oversee stock control, ordering, traceability, waste, and margins
• Drive sales and deliver a strong customer experience across fresh food and prepared meals

Requirements for this Shop Manager job

• Proven butchery experience is essential
• Management or supervisory experience in butchery, deli, fresh food, grocery retail, or hospitality
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to organise and motivate a team
• Good knowledge of HACCP, food safety, stock control, and fresh food standards
• Commercial awareness across sales, waste, margins, and customer service
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland
