Relief Chef – Contract Catering | Waterford

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled, reliable, and adaptable Relief Chef to support our contract catering clients across Waterford. About the Role

As a Relief Chef, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our clients by providing cover across a range of catering sites. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in different kitchen settings while working alongside experienced hospitality teams and maintaining exceptional culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide cover for chefs during annual leave, sickness, and other absences
• Support newly opened catering sites during their launch period
• Assist kitchens during busy service periods or when additional staffing is required
• Prepare and serve fresh, high-quality meals in line with client specifications
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance
• Work collaboratively with onsite teams to ensure efficient and seamless kitchen operations

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Chef in contract catering or a fast-paced commercial kitchen
• The ability to adapt quickly to different kitchen environments and teams
• A reliable, professional, and positive approach to work
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP procedures
• Flexibility to travel to client locations throughout Waterford
• A full driving licence and access to your own transport is desirable
