NPD Manager

Our client, a leading organisation within the Irish food and retail sector, is seeking an experienced NPD Manager to join their team in Cork. This is an exciting opportunity to lead product innovation, manage a team of developers and deliver commercially successful products across a diverse food portfolio.

Responsibilities of this NPD Manager job include:

• Lead end-to-end product development from concept through to launch.
• Develop and manage the annual product innovation pipeline aligned with commercial objectives.
• Manage, coach and develop a team of product developers and technologists.
• Identify consumer trends and opportunities for product innovation.
• Collaborate with commercial, technical and sourcing teams to ensure product viability.
• Oversee product specifications, quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Drive packaging innovation, sustainability and product reformulation initiatives.
• Manage supplier relationships and ensure projects meet agreed deadlines.
• Identify opportunities to improve product development processes and efficiencies.

Requirements for this NPD Manager job include:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in product development or a technical role within food, FMCG, retail or manufacturing.
• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Business or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Irish and UK grocery markets and consumer trends.
• Proven experience managing multiple NPD projects from concept to launch.
• Understanding of food legislation, packaging requirements and product compliance.
• Strong commercial awareness, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous team management experience advantageous.
