HR Officer – 12-Month Contract
Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced HR Officer to join a well-established organisation supporting a busy, multi-site operation across Dublin.
This 12-month fixed-term contract offers the opportunity to work closely with operational leaders and make a genuine impact across employee relations, engagement and the wider employee lifecycle.
Hybrid working: four days on site and one day working from home.
The position would suit an experienced HR Generalist or HR Officer who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment and is confident building strong relationships with managers and colleagues across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end HR support across recruitment, onboarding, induction, probation, employee changes, offboarding, retirement processes, payroll administration and HR reporting
- Partner with operational managers on workforce planning, employee engagement, performance and attendance management
- Support employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances and absence management
- Attend employee relations meetings, take accurate minutes and support the preparation of relevant correspondence
- Provide practical guidance to managers and colleagues on HR policies, ensuring a fair and consistent approach
- Work with external recruitment agencies to support operational hiring requirements
- Support employee engagement, continuous improvement and people development initiatives
- Coordinate and contribute to employer branding and community initiatives
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems and documentation in line with GDPR and internal requirements
- Build positive working relationships with managers and employees across a multi-site environment
Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ experience as an HR Officer, HR Generalist or in a similar HR position
- Previous HR experience within supply chain, warehousing, distribution, FMCG or another fast-paced operational environment
- Practical experience supporting employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary matters, grievances and absence management
- Experience supporting recruitment, ideally within a high-volume operational setting
- Strong working knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice
- Degree or professional qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
- CIPD qualification, equivalent accreditation or currently working towards accreditation
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence supporting stakeholders at different levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information professionally
- A flexible and collaborative approach, with the ability to support a multi-shift operation when required
