Grocery Department Manager – South Dublin
Our client, a leader in quality retail are currently seeking an experienced grocery department manager to lead a team in one of their South Dublin locations of Blackrock or Dundrum. This Grocery Department Manager opportunity would suit an experienced Grocery Manager looking to progress their career with a business that genuinely values its people and invests in long-term development.
As Grocery Department Manager, you will take ownership of a busy grocery department, ensuring strong operational performance while leading, coaching, and developing colleagues to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team within a fast-paced grocery department
* Create a positive, customer-focused environment that delivers an excellent shopping experience
* Drive sales, productivity, and departmental performance targets
* Maintain exceptional standards across merchandising, stock control, and presentation
* Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of colleagues
* Manage rotas, performance reviews, and day-to-day team operations
* Ensure full compliance with health and safety and company procedures
* Work closely with senior management to deliver commercial and operational objectives
* Create a positive, customer-focused environment that delivers an excellent shopping experience

Skills and Requirements
* Previous management experience within grocery retail, supermarket retail, or a high-volume FMCG environment
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop retail teams
* Strong understanding of grocery operations, stock management, and customer service standards
* Commercially focused with experience delivering sales and KPI targets
* Excellent communication and people management skills
* Hands-on leadership style with a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-changing retail environment
* Passion for delivering high standards and developing colleagues
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop retail teams
