Food Safety Specialist – Fresh Produce

Are you an experienced Food Safety Specialist with strong knowledge of food safety standards and excellent attention to detail? We are recruiting for a well-established fresh produce supplier based in West Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business and support food safety, quality and compliance across its production operations.

Key Responsibilities for this Food Safety Specialist job include:

• Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure they meet approved quality standards and specifications.

• Complete goods-in documentation, quality records and non-conformance reports accurately.

• Carry out food safety and quality checks, including metal detection, conductivity and pH testing.

• Monitor production to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and hygiene procedures.

• Maintain full product traceability from raw material intake through to dispatch.

• Verify allergen-control procedures and the calibration of temperature probes and weighing scales.

• Complete the positive release of finished products before dispatch.

• Conduct glass, hard-plastic, hygiene and fabrication audits.

• Collect hygiene samples and environmental swabs for laboratory testing.

• Assist with root-cause investigations, corrective actions and the implementation of new quality procedures.

Requirements for this Food Safety Specialist job include:

• Previous food safety, quality control or quality assurance experience within food production or manufacturing.

• Strong knowledge of HACCP and BRCGS food safety standards.

• Excellent attention to detail, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Good administrative, record-keeping and computer skills.

• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

• Fluent written and spoken English.

• Fresh produce, vegetable processing or auditing experience is desirable.
